Stephanie Ruckert grew up between Austin and Houston in the rolling hills of La Grange, Texas. Raised by two loving parents who both encouraged and supported her creative side, her father was a true visionary real estate developer and her mother a former school teacher. They provided her family with countless opportunities growing up. It was during her travels as a child that she developed the desire and yearning to explore the world as an adult.

To this day it’s this adventurous side, her love of travel, and being immersed in nature that sparks her ingenuity and enables her to see the potential beauty in the world around her. Stephanie’s love of architecture and design was cultivated over many years spending time with her father in his very successful real estate business. They would explore a wide variety of opportunities involving both old and new construction projects across the region. It was during the countless hours of driving around to see her father’s latest Development Projects where he showed her the endless possibilities that could come out of repurposing and renovating the old or building something spectacular and new from the ground up. While Stephanie did not obtain her real estate license, the experience with her father planted the seed of her heart’s true ambition and the knowledge that she received from this invaluable time with him continues to serve her well to this day.

Growing up as a world-class barefoot water skier, training and competing all over the United States gave Stephanie a competitive drive and taught her discipline, dedication and a strong work ethic. Stephanie’s outgoing and bubbly

personality shows through in how easily she connects with people, while her intuitive instinct, helps her to laser in on what makes her clients tick. Tireless attention to detail and willingness to really listen to what matters, while collaborating, helps to bring her clients’ dreams to fruition in a very organic and meaningful way. It is this innate skill set that enables her to present a cohesive well thought out plan to her clients and successfully implement a wide variety of design projects.

An inherent part of Stephanie’s real-world experience comes from her time spent learning the ropes out at Warrenton, Texas. This bi-annual antique show is a major event where hundreds of thousands of people descend upon the tiny rural Texas towns of Warrenton & Round Top. It is a time-honored tradition, held every Spring and Fall and a pilgrimage for all those in the design world that know the one-of-a-kind treasures to be found for their

clientele. It’s here, year after year, that Stephanie developed her keen eye for finding incredible pieces, honed her retail skills, and learned to adeptly barter for antiques on her client’s behalf. It’s this life long exposure to a very blended design perspective, as well as a wide range of cultures that influences her design choices today.

Stephanie also attributes some of the key fundamentals she utilizes today when engaging with clients to her almost a decade spent in the retail arena. This is where she learned the importance of working well with others and how to be a team player. You could call her a wizard who knows how to wear many hats. Often she found herself tasked with a wide array of duties in the various positions she has held. She is as proficient with setting up beautiful displays in stores, rearranging furniture, and ordering inventory, as she is with the management side of business like creating marketing strategies to increase sales revenue while raising brand awareness and establishing customer loyalty. Regardless of the task at hand, Stephanie always seizes every opportunity to inject her creativity into each endeavor. However, the key to her success has always been keeping one thing in mind… and that is: providing her clients with an incredible customer service experience, which is at the core of Stephanie’s beliefs.

Working in retail brought a unique set of challenges on a daily basis, but it also provided Stephanie the chance to help others discover something beautiful for their wardrobe or home all while developing strong interpersonal skills. Anyone that knows her will say that she exudes a genuine enthusiasm and excitement to help her clients whether it is hand-selecting items for a special project, listening to someone’s needs for decorating their home, or designing a beautiful space for a special event. She brings a vibrant energy with her creative force that is truly unique and one might even say she is blessed with a God-given talent for design.

Amongst Stephanie’s many blessings she counts having grown up in such a beautiful place as La Grange, Texas as one of her most precious. Throughout the course of her life, she was gifted many wonderful professional opportunities including working alongside a local Real Estate legend, the chance to hone her craft in multiple retail stores and not to mention she spent years supporting her family’s local restaurant both in town and out at Warrenton. No matter what the undertaking Stephanie worked extremely hard, yet always found herself trying to create something magical out of nothing. It is this relentless driving force that spurred her to start her own business making handmade cards and custom jewelry and traveling around the country to different festivals throughout the year to sell her designs. Over the course of several years she found that she had not only grown as a designer/artist, but now had extensive network of unique contacts in the design industry in her database.

To this day, she still enjoys helping friends and family with decorating their homes. Stephanie loves using all of her found treasures that she has acquired over the years …whether it’s an eclectic, earthy item she found in nature, or a beautiful antique from her days out in the booths at Warrenton. It is this love of collecting and repurposing things that ultimately led her to try and figure out how she could turn a passion for creating into a life long career.

She used her well-rounded experiences to branch out on her own and the rest is history. Innovative Interiors is a Design Company based out of the Woodlands, Texas. As Principal Founder of Innovative Interiors, she is steadily gaining clients and followers from around The Woodlands & Montgomery County area. Stephanie imbues a bit of an “eclectic- collected” look ….ranging from Mid Century Modern to Bohemian Elegance, which shows in all of her projects. Realizing her ”bohemian bent” is not for everyone, she craves any design challenge and opportunities to show off her ever-evolving style. No matter what the aesthetic she is asked to create, each design by Stephanie looks grand and definitely unique.

Today her business, Innovative Interiors, provides designs for everything from large scale residences to light commercial projects. Stephanie has project managers such as builders and contractors to help bring distinctive visions seen in her work and on her website. She loves using natural elements …earthy textures, which she feels are the essential elements that define and can always distinguish an Innovative Interiors’ designed home.

I went to the woods because I wished to live deliberately, to front only the essential facts of life, and see if I could not learn what it had to teach, and not, when I came to die, discover that I had not lived.
